PEPPER MESA

Well, this is my first entry in a very long time. I had planned to keep up on this site a little but, but alas, things come up. My Mom became very sick with melanoma and she passed away in September. It has been a very difficult time. I love her and miss her. I'm grateful that she's no longer suffering and I wish I could have spent more time with her before she was gone. It was especially hard for me near the end as I wanted to talk to her about so many things, but she was so out of it, and couldn't really keep up a conversation. It puts things in perspective. It makes me realize we need to make time for family and ask all the important questions, and find out more about what their lives were like, what they liked most, what they didn't. I was able to find out my Mom's favorite color. She told me it is Purple. What a wonderful color. It's the color of beautiful flowers, grape soda, even Grimace, from McDonald's, and the color of the sky in the morning before the sun comes up. I'm going to write more about her as I think of it. It's good to remember the important things and put them to words.
